The clock tower dedicated to the memory of the distinguished guide book author
John Byrde Baddeley
whose "Thorough Guide to the English Lake District" of 1880 was
a forerunner to the likes of Alfred Wainwright.
The monument can be found at the junction of Lake Road and New Road, Bowness
on Windermere.
