Saddleback in the Lake District

Height: 2847ft/868m.

 

North east of Keswick, this distinctive fell dominates the skyline and never fails to impress especially when seen from the Penrith road to the east.

There are several routes to the top: most are well used by walkers on this popular mountain, there are magnificent views to be seen from the top and on the ascent also.
