
St Kentigern's Church in Crosthwaite, Keswick.
Dating back in parts, to the C13th St Kentigern's has been much altered and
added to over its long history-
Some of the windows and the north aisle of the C14th, the tower and much of
the south aisle of the C16th.
A handsome old building, inside you will find a
memorial to Robert Southey (1774-1843) one of the famous Lake Poets
and a contemporary of and friend to William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
Southey is laid to rest in the church yard.
