Blakeley Raise Stone Circle Cumbria

Welcome to the EDGE Guide to the stone circles of Cumbria.

Blakeley Raise
Nearest Town: Whitehaven.
Location: NY 060140, Sheet 89.

This reconstructed Circle lies on the road between Ennerdale Bridge (to the north) and Calder Bridge (to the south). There is some doubt as to the alignment of the stones (they now form a perfect circle).

Because of its closeness to the road it is worth a visit and might be combined with a trip to Ennerdale Water and Wast Water.
