William Wordsworth office Distributor of Stamps, Westmorland, Ambleside.
The building used by the poet William Wordsworth between March 1813 and July 1843
while Distributor of Stamps for Westmorland in Church Street, Ambleside. This was a controversial occupation for
a man who had previously been regarded as something of a firebrand, he had now joined the establishment and gained
£400 per annum a very large sum in those days.
