I once visited and found teak garden furniture from
Burma (renamed Myanmar by the military junta) on sale here.
In the face of international economic sanctions placed on Burma due
to its human rights abuses and among other things, its treatment of
the legally elected Premier Aung San Suu Kyi, the military junta has
increasingly relied on exporting its timber - Burmese teak is of very
good quality and therefore a useful source of foreign currency.
You may be more concerned where your money goes than
Hayes Garden World apparently is.
